News, obituaries, companies, people, even such items as editorials, editorial cartoons, and letters to the editor from well know people are indexed. New York Historical Newspapers (Provided by Northern New York Library Network) The online collection currently consists of more than 1,316,000 scanned and indexed pages from thirty-seven newspapers from northern New York, as well as additional newspapers from other counties. The collection includes newspapers from Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Jefferson, Lewis, Oswego and St. Lawrence counties, with dates from the 1800's to the recent past in some cases.
