CEFLS and Member Library Calendar of Events

  • Months of February and March - Lake Placid Public Library - Olympic Photo Show - Fred Zimny's look beyond winter games venues, into the surrounding host cities and countries. Interesting mix of landscapes, people and, occasionally, animals - from Europe to Asia where past games have been held. Fred Zimny was a U.S. luge coach. Artist reception on February 22nd, 5 to 7 p.m. The gallery is always free and open regular library hours.
  • Month of February - Peru Free Library - 70 Years of Quilts & Quilt Making. All quilts are for sale and 50% of sales will be donated to the library.
  • Month of February - Wells Memorial Library, Upper Jay - Art Exhibit - Chrissy Thomsen - UNESCO Sites - Perito Moreno Glacier circa. 2004, Loss Glaciares National Park - UNESCO Site - in southwest Santa Cruz Province, Argentina.
  • Through February 22nd - Schroon Lake Public Library - Winter Story Time at 10:30 a.m. in the new community room. Approximately 45 minutes long. Stories, songs, finger plays and movement designed for infants, wobblers, toddlers or preschoolers.  Story time's goal is to promote the joy of shared reading, and the benefits of early literacy.
